Mulled
Apple Cider
1 gallon
cider
10 to 15 whole allspice
½ c. light
brown sugar 10 to 15 whole allspice
20 to 25 whole cloves
8 to 10 cinnamon sticks, broken in pieces
In 6 quart
kettle, bring all ingredients to boiling; simmer, uncovered -- about 30
minutes. Strain through double layer of
cheesecloth. Refrigerate cider until
needed. Reheat for serving. Place a cinnamon stick stirrer in each mug,
if desired. Makes 12 to 15 servings.
